Dried apricot, pears, white flowers and prunes intermingle on the nose. The dried fruit flavours continue on the palate – these flavours are the hallmark of the wines from the extremely warm 2003 vintage. The supple texture and mouth-feel leads to a finish with hints of tart, green apple. This complex wine cries out for experimentation in food pairing. Try a cous cous tagine made with dried fruits or grilled salmon with a chutney glaze.
